Reflection on Connectivism

George Siemens proposed connectivism as a theory of the digital age. It is about networking the learner by making connections in changes of behaviour cognitively and socially.

Social constructivists like Vygotsky developed a concept called the zone of proximal development (ZPD). ZPD is the difference of what a learner can do without help and what he can do with help. The following video explains Vygosky's constructivist theory

Guidance of the teacher and the use of digital tools become essential in helping the learner do what he could not do .Learners become responsible for their own learning Technology will enable the learner to engage and enhance their learning experiences. Technology would then be the pipeline and connections that are important for the learner.
